XA-3 Attacker

In 1981, AIDC received a contract from ROCAF to modify the AT-3 for dedicated attack missions. The new design was single-seated and included modern navigation and attack avionics systems. With modification on forward fuselage structure and the subsequent changes in external configuration, the attack capability was successfully incorporated. Hundreds of test flights had validated the outstanding performance of the Navigation Attack System (NAS) in navigation, air-to-surface weapon delivery, and radar capability.
