KHI Embraer 190/195 Shroud Panel (Flap and Aileron) First Article Delivery Ceremony Held at AIDC

AIDC undertakes the production of Embraer 190/195 Shroud Panel which was subcontracted by Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI). The First Article delivery ceremony is hosted by Mr. Butch Hsu, the president of AIDC, and evidenced by Mr. Yoshihiro UETAKE, the General Manager, Production Divisionon of KHI on August 8 at TACC (Taiwan Advanced composites Center), AIDC. Subsequently, the deliverables will be forwarded to Brazilian Embraer for final assembly.

The Embraer 190/195 is a narrow-body medium-range twin-engine jet airliner. Announced at the Paris Air Show in 1999 and entered production in 2002. The First flight was in March 2004. Shroud Panel of Flap and Aileron was originally undertaken by KHI and then subcontracted to AIDC by KHI in Sept. 2012. Mr. Yoshihiro UETAKE, the General Manager, Manufacturing Division of KHI provides his highly comments on AIDC’s excellent performance of high quality, on-time delivery and composite manufacturing capability. Both parties have achieved the critical goal of the program.

E-Jet Series is a popular Airliner at the global aerospace market, both AIDC and KHI expected to achieve the delivery of over 250 ship sets for this program.

It is expected that this program will serve as the foundation of both companies’ cooperation and based on this, further collaborations between AIDC and KHI can be expanded to develop a new niche in the global market.
