Chairman Liao Rong-Xin of the Aerospace Industry Development Corporation (AIDC) continued developing Taiwan’s domestic aerospace industry. Following their trip to the world’s largest air show in Paris, Chairman Liao led a management delegation to visit the 2016 Farnborough International Airshow in UK. Members of the delegation attended more than 40 business appointments to discuss potential business opportunities with aircraft companies, such as Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier as well as raw material suppliers. AIDC said positive results can be expected.
Farnborough International Airshow is recognized as a major international airshow with 1,500 exhibitors from 39 countries this year. With newly established A-Team 4.0 aerospace supply chain, AIDC continued advocating its aerospace composite material and engine capabilities through its newly completed Taiwan Advanced Composite Center -19 (TACC-19) and its engine manufacturing technology which is highly recognized by GE and Rolls-Royce as well.
AIDC said, in contrast to the Pair Airshow and the Japan Airshow held in recent years that AIDC will set up and staff a pavilion in the exhibitions in other major international air shows so that AIDC may be better able to arrange meetings with customers and potential clients while at the same time exhibiting products and disseminating marketing information. As for the upcoming Japan Airshow in October, AIDC plans to cooperate with the Taiwan’s Aerospace A-Team 4.0 supply chain to establish a co-exhibit at this year’s Airshow.
In the meanwhile at the Farnborough Airshow, AIDC’s Chairman Liao specially visited the pavilion of Tongtai Machine & Tool Co., Ltd which is a team member of Taiwan Aerospace Industrial Alliance A-team 4.0., and endorsed their products to emphasis and expand the awareness of Taiwan aerospace industry.
