The Taiwan Aerospace Industry A-Team 4.0 Alliance re-launched a continuous improvement event on November 6, 2018. During the meeting, TSMC customer quality supervisor was invited to share TSMC's improvement experience. Corporate Synergy Development Center (CSDC) also introduced the spirit and method of corporate lean management improvement and related activities.

Mr. Anosn Liao holds three titles including that of the Chairman of "A-Team 4.0 Alliance", Chairman of Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) and Chairman of the Taiwan Aerospace Industry Association (TAIA). He pointed out that the global aerospace market outlook for 2018 through 2037, due to the decline in the gross profit of aerospace manufacturing, Airbus and Boeing are expected to focus on aircraft maintenance. The two leading companies Airbus and Boeing both predict that the output value of the maintenance market will grow in the next 20 years. The aerospace A-Team 4.0 Alliance has set three strategies to be firmly implemented. First, domestically made advanced jet trainer program will create 2.5 folds output value and lead to industrial sustainability in the next 30 years. Second, expand smart manufacturing, that is, intelligent machine, manufacturing and management; The third is to achieve supply chain integration, which is to promote the "Taiwan Aerospace Industry A-Team 4.0 Alliance."

The current order for AIDC's delivery of the Advanced Jet Trainer (AJT) has demonstrated the concept of Aerospace A-Team 4.0. which AIDC had entered into contracts with 70 domestic manufacturers of which 26 members have successfully obtained AS 9100 Aerospace Quality System certification. It is not easy to obtain AS 9100 certification as only 62 companies have obtained certification over the previous 14 year period.

Since the establishment of the Taiwan Aerospace A-Team 4.0 Alliance, which is to assist the improvement of the supply chain, to promote the Lean as the annual Keep Performance Indicator (KPI), and to promote the the theme activities, the related presentations and meetings have all been initiated. From the 4.0 factory tour, members gained valuable knowledge from AIDC's experience and from different industries to achieve cross-industry sharing of lean management. Through the foregoing and related activities, members of Taiwan's A-Team 4.0 came to realize how TSMC had successfully overcome the barriers to growth, introduced new ideas for innovation and resource integration. Members were also introduced to the Corporate Synergy Develomnet Center (CSDC) by which to assure continous planning and to improve the alliance which can be integrated into the nationwide continuous improvement activities to enhance the overall competitiveness of the Alliance for the mutual benefit of all members and for the continued success of Taiwan's aerosapce industry.
