AIDC Inks Engine Parts Contract with MHI, Aero Engines, Ltd.

2016/11/24

AIDC was awarded a 5-year engine parts contract from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Aero Engines, Ltd. (MHIAEL), a group company of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) on November 24 in Nagoya, Japan. The contract calls for the supply of parts of a new generation engine, which will power the Airbus A330neo and Boeing 787 aircraft.

This is the first Long Term Agreement (LTA) between MHIAEL and AIDC. Both parties celebrated the LTA as significant milestone and agreed to work toward further developing their strategic partnership. In tandem AIDC is also pursuing the opportunity to supply components for MHIAEL on the Rolls-Royce engine program.

AIDC has achieved positive results with commercial aircraft programs and aero engines businesses this year with orders from FHI, IHI, KHI and MHIAEL. In addition to establishing its reputation in Japan’s aerospace supply chain with quality products, AIDC has injected new momentum into Taiwan’s aerospace industry in the hope of leading Taiwan’s supply chain into Japan’s aerospace parts market.
