Today the AIDC Board of Directors announced their approval of a $2.23 billion N.T. dollar investment in the construction of a Case Module Manufacture Center.

Today the AIDC Board of Directors announced their approval of a $2.23 billion N.T. dollar investment in the construction of a Case Module Manufacture Center. Construction is scheduled to complete in Q1 2020, with full operation to start in Q2 2020.

Based on the Q1 2018 forecast released by Forecast International, commercial engine demand for the next 10 years is estimated at 152,000 deliveries, valued at $834.1 billion U.S. dollars. Therefore this investment plan is expected to boost AIDC’s continuing business growth while at the same time consolidate its supply chain position.

In view of the continued growth of global aerospace industry, the Taiwan government is committed to promoting the “5+2” Industrial Transformation Plan, which includes Asia·Silicon Valley, Biomedical, Green Energy, Smart Machinery, Defense Aerospace, Innovative Agriculture and Circular Economy, in the objective of creating momentum in innovation and development of new industries for future generations.

The aerospace industry is a typical technology industry characterized for its; high capital-, labor-intensiveness; and one which is capable of leading the transformation of related industries with its high industrial linkage, and facilitates to significantly upgrade the overall level of both technology and economics of Taiwan.

AIDC is gradually expanding its outsourcing production value through mature machining techniques and improving the capability of its aerospace supply chain. In addition, the AIDC A-Team 4.0 Alliance has aligned 256 members with additional members to come, and is dedicated to enhancing Taiwan’s competitiveness and presence in global aerospace supply chain.

AIDC is greatly indebted to the support from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, its major shareholder, and the Board of Directors with the undertaking of the Case Module Manufacture Center investment plan. With the initiation of the plan and the commercial orders received, AIDC anticipates positive growth of Taiwan’s aerospace industry which will bring mutual benefits to the supply chain members and at the same time further strengthen the foundation of Taiwan’s domestic aerospace industry.
