AIDC has delivered 1000 shipsets of products for business jets to Bombardier which were manufactured in house. With abundant domestic capabilities, AIDC is confident to develop primer trainers.

AIDC held “The delivery ceremony of 1000th empennage of Challenger business jets” on August 10th, Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen went to Taichung personally for hosting.
Bombardier is a world well-known multinational enterprise, which headquarter located in Canada. AIDC has manufactured Bombardier’s products for more than 20 years, and is going to deliver 1000th empennage today. “This is a milestone full of experience and ordeal.” said AIDC Chairman Moudy Hu.
AIDC made a glorious record in Taiwan military history with self-developed and self-manufactured IDF, which is still one of the three main fighters in Air Force. After IDF mass production ended in 1999, AIDC invested in commercial aircraft area with its experienced capabilities, and participated in the ODM program of Bombardier Challenger empennage to learn and exchange skills with engineers from various countries. Taiwan collaborated with England, USA and Japan to develop the Challenger series business jet, with its range of up to 3,400 nautical miles which is equivalent to London to Dubai. The Challenger series is quite excellent aircraft in business jet market with luxurious and spacious cabin, great controllability and maintenance and repair location all over the world. This program is also a support for domestic supply chain. Including AIDC, there are total 14 outstanding manufacturers jointly participate in this program and hold a place in global aviation industry.
AIDC has collaborated with Bombardier for over 20 years to date, and AIDC has been awarded Diamond Program Certificate from Bombardier for many times, which means the performance and overall competitiveness of AIDC and sub-tiers not only comply the needs of clients, but also earn recognition from Bombardier. AIDC has deeply involved in commercial aircraft area so far, and cooperate with many partners includes Boeing form the US and Airbus from France. Over 90% of commercial aircraft flying in the sky everyday are using the parts and components made from AIDC and its domestic partners.
