
AIDC Chairman Hu, Kai-Hung's term expires and President Tsao, Chin-pin takes office as Acting Chairman

Chairman Hu, Kai-Hung has led AIDC for more than six years since assuming the position on March 18th, 2019. Despite facing major challenges such as Boeing 737MAX groundings and COVID-19 pandemic, Chairman Hu still persisted in leading AIDC to accomplish various missions. During his term of office, the revenue of AIDC has grown from over NT$20 billion to nearly NT$40 billion, while the share price once achieved a historic multi-fold increase.
Chairman Hu reached the mandatory retirement age of 65 in 2024 and has submitted the request resignation to Executive Yuan. However, Executive Yuan approved a one-year extension of his term in recognition of Chairman Hu's expertise, which expired on August 27th, 2025. The dismissal of Chairman Hu took effect on August 28th, with President Tsao, Chin-pin took office as Acting Chairman.
Chairman Hu formally expressed his intention of not seeking reappointment to MOEA in early August, 2025. In the final stage of term of office, Chairman Hu still led the team personally to expand overseas business and has already achieved concrete results. Subsequent developments will be reported to the public in due course.
