Mr. Butch Hsu was officially sworn in as the new president of AIDC by AIDC Chairman Mr. Jason Liu in a board meeting held on February 3, 2012.
Mr. Hsu joined the Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (previously known as Aero Industry Development Center) in August 1971, following receipt of a B.S. degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Chung-Cheng Institute of Technology. For the next 40 years of devoted service at AIDC, he started as an assistant researcher, then continued to take on positions with increased responsibilities, including; Deputy Director of the Aeronautical Research Laboratory under CSIST, IDF Program Director, IDF Chief Engineer, General Manager of Defense Systems and Technology Division, and Senior Vice President of AIDC since 2002. In addition, he currently serves as the Chairman of the Taiwan Aerospace Industry Association.
In compliance with the Air Force weapons development strategy, Mr. Hsu had been actively participated in the design, production and testing of the primary trainer, XC-2 transport, AT-3 jet trainer and IDF fighter programs. And with a rich professional experience in the aerospace industry, outstanding work performance and keen insights into AIDC’s culture and missions, Mr. Hsu was appointed the President of AIDC by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Under Mr. Hsu’s strong leadership AIDC will continue to grow and at the same time sharpen its company culture to adhere to our core values – Accountability, Innovation, Dedication and Customer orientation.
